Jessie Y. Minger
I am an attorney with the law firm of Fitzwater Meyer Hollis & Marmion, LLP. My practice emphasizes litigation involving will contests, contested guardianships and conservatorships, and probate administration. I also assist clients with conservatorships, guardianships and administering probate estates, including those involving wrongful death claims.
My work experience as a prosecutor at the Multnomah County District Attorney’s office and my civil trial experience enable me to effectively represent clients involved in litigation, settlement, mediation and arbitration. I pride myself in the quality of work I provide my clients; I am timely, thorough and can explain the legal process in a frank, understandable manner. It is important to me to be open and honest with clients about their legal situations. Often I can offer them options that they might not have known existed.
I have always thrived in the courtroom. I enjoy continuously being on my toes and fighting for the underdog. My job is very rewarding because I have a soft spot for the elderly and children.
Raised in Oregon, I hold a B.A., cum laude, from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, where I was a math & politics major, and a J.D., cum laude, from Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland Oregon. In addition, I obtained a certificate in International Law from Oxford University in Oxford, England.
I have received awards from local high schools for my volunteer work as a mock trial coach. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, hiking, and spending time outdoors.
“At FMHM I have access to legal knowledge and resources which allow me to provide clients with a multitude of services in one firm.”
